Charlotte completed an MA in Creative Writing with a Distinction from the University of Southampton in 2018. Her Historical Fiction novel, Where the Hawks Fly, which she started at university, was later longlisted out of 3,700 applications for the Penguin WriteNow 2020 talent scheme. Her flash fiction piece, A Cripple’s Guide to Living, made the longlist for the Fish Flash Fiction 2021 prize and her historical short story, Lady Death, was accepted for publication by Artful Scribe in a 2021 anthology which showcases writing by women.

Charlotte is currently working towards an interdisciplinary PhD. on conceptions of 21st century disabled identities. Alongside her PhD., Charlotte teaches Creative Writing leisure courses and works as a part time lecturer on the English degree at Bournemouth University. Charlotte also writes for Metro and Game Central as a freelancer. In her spare time, Charlotte enjoys playing video games, reading (of course), and archery.

Thecharlotteweb blog was created as another way for Charlotte express her thoughts and experiences. Charlotte  discusses literature,  her creative writing journey at University and beyond, as well as important issues in our world.
